An eco-luxury hair salon in Duluth, Minnesota went two full years without a website. After patiently waiting for the right business to come around, they chose our team to help them create a site like no other. They wanted us to focus on a few elements -- the style had to be bright and welcoming, the content had to be innovative and fresh, and the delivery had to be easy and mobile-friendly. We designed and developed a custom website, created over 400 edited images for the new website and their social-media, and also updated all SEO on the new site. We've included pieces of the website below, but to view the full site visit www.hustleandheartsalon.com.
We started with gathering the most basic essentials for the new site. We needed Hustle + Heart's logo, their colors, their styles, and their desired fonts. This is a major part of website design. Everything needs to match with the brand's identity. We had a conversation with the owner about what people wanted to feel when thinking about Hustle + Heart. We concluded that the brand should reflect a bright and airy atmosphere with a lot of tonal elements. Hustle + Heart's website should encompass everything it feels like inside of their salon.
One of the main things Hustle + Heart Salon prides themselves in is being an educational place. They want to genuinely inform their clients about what is best for their hair as well as the environment. Because of this, we wanted their site to reflect a welcoming and sophisticated character. Everything needed to be laid out, easy to find, and informative. Our team created several different sections of the site with unique information.
Additionally, the salon focuses much on sustainability and their NBR extension service. We created two separate pages for these elements to really highlight their importance. After multiple phone calls and emails with our client, we ended with a website that was perfect for their brand.
As part of our website design, our team went into Hustle + Heart to gather brand new photos of their team members, the shop, and the stylists in action with real clients. We did this for a multitude of reasons. First, Hustle + Heart had no previous website, which means they had a very limited supply of pre-existing photos to choose from. Additionally, we wanted the website to look very cohesive and flow seamlessly, which couldn't have been possible with a variety of images from a variety of time periods. Lastly, we wanted the website to be as genuine as possible. Hustle + Heart communicated with real clients and gained their permission to be photographed for the site. Since we were able to illustrate the stylists working in a real setting, it flooded the design with emotion, authenticity, and a unique style.
Hustle + Heart paid one price for us to gather content and create the website. We charged a one-size-fits-all cost so that they did not need to pay according to how many pages they needed. Now that the site is up and running, Hustle + Heart pays a small monthly fee that we chose based on their budget. This allows for them to ask for minor changes to be made, blog posts to be added, and SEO to be improved each month.
Our team works within your budget to ensure you are getting everything you need at an effective price. We are in constant communication with our clients, current and previous, to help in any way that we can.
