Content Creation Designed for Social Media

Ragstock had a lot of needs regarding digital-marketing. Primarily, they needed content for their social media that was fresh and authentic. They were getting ready to release a new line of tie-dye products: A style that has just recently made a comeback. Our team knew the design of our shoot had to be innovative and influential to consumers. After conducting some market listening, we designed photography and video shoots to capture this "authentic" feel that their customers so desperately wanted.

We teamed up with influencer Ava Justin, who has nearly 250,000 followers just on Instagram and over half a million on Tiktok, as well as local models in the Minneapolis area, to shoot content in both rural and urban settings. This change of scenery allowed for us to capture an intriguing style and showed the consumer that the products were built for any occasion.

Vivid delivered over 100 edited photos and a promotional film to Ragstock to be used across their social media and their website. This page showcases some of our favorite shots.

Purpose

Variety and differentiation

When shooting a certain product line at only one or two locations, it can be easy to fall into a similar style and pose for all the photos. We wanted to ensure each photo was telling a different story, appealing to a different consumer, and could stay relevant on social media in the long-term. Our team of qualified photographers and videographers storyboarded and brainstormed revolutionary shots for this product line.

Key Elements

Detail, detail, detail

A brand has about 2 seconds to make an impression on a scrolling consumer. Everything must be planned and perfect in order to make someone stop and stare. From lighting, to poses, to location, to accessories, it all must match the brand's mission and drive growth. That is why our images were crafted with purpose to showcase the products.

We also needed to pay special attention to the tie dye. Tie-dye is known to be very vibrant and strong. Our models needed to let the tie-dye do the work without being too distracting. Our campaign was meant to be casual and natural while still making a statement.

Location

Transitioning to the city

The best part about our team is that we are dynamic. We are constantly thinking about locations, products, models, and shots that will capture the essence of a brand. For Ragstock, we knew that they had a mix of consumers who would be wearing the products in the city and in the more rural areas. We decided to shoot at two different locations to encompass both aspects of the consumer Ragstock was targeting. Our bright and airy tones present in our nature shots transitioned to dark and moody portraits in downtown Minneapolis.

Delivery

Since the completion of our campaign, Ragstock has implemented our photos into their social media, their website, and prints for use in traditional marketing strategies. Our promotional film has played throughout their stores in TV's to attract consumers as they walk by. The brand has nearly 15,000 followers on Instagram and is nationally recognized.
